Keep your practice focused on what your class is covering. Recent Bank Builder improvements make save actions easier to reach and let you include the conditions that give a math question its meaning.

Bank Builder and saved practice are available to approved members.

Bank Builder lets you bring default questions and your own questions into a bank for your course. This update highlights improvements already available for creating those questions and carrying their context into practice.

Include the conditions that make an answer meaningful

A formula sometimes needs a little more information before it has a clear answer. The allowed values of a variable, for example, can change the result of a limit or tell you which domain to use.

The optional Conditions field gives that information a place alongside the question. You can include mathematical notation or a short explanation. Conditions appear before you answer in flashcards, quizzes and Balloon Pop, so you can use them when deciding on your answer.

Use Conditions for information needed to interpret the question. Hints remain separate, and you can leave Conditions blank when the question is complete on its own.

Keep the next action within reach

Bank actions now appear above and below the bank details, and question actions appear above and below the question form. You can save or cancel without having to find the bottom of a long editor.

Create and save actions stay unavailable until the required information is filled in. If you have an unfinished question edit, save or cancel that question before saving the whole bank. Leaving with unsaved changes prompts you to keep editing or discard them; your work is not automatically saved.

Take the same context with you

Conditions remain attached to your custom questions when you export or import them as JSON or CSV. That keeps an important restriction from being lost when you move questions between your files and Bank Builder.

Build a bank for your next study session

Open Bank Builder to create a bank, or edit one from Question Banks. Choose questions that match the topic you are studying, include any conditions they need, and save before starting your practice.
